Award-winning choir Tenebrae, under the direction of Nigel Short, is one of the world’s leading vocal ensembles renowned for its passion and precision. Tenebrae’s ever-increasing discography has brought about collaborations with Signum, Decca Classics, Deutsche Grammophon, EMI Classics, LSO Live and Warner Classics. In 2012 and in 2016, Tenebrae were awarded with BBC Music Magazine Awards as ‘Best Choral Performance’ of the year. Tenebrae has been nominated for the Gramophone Awards (2013) and for a Grammy (2018). Tenebrae is regularly engaged with the world’s finest orchestras – appearing regularly with the Academy of Ancient Music and Aurora Orchestra – and has performed at major festivals and venues. In Haapsalu, Tenebrae Consort with hand-picked singers from the Choir will perform a unique program of medieval chant and English renaissance polyphony.
